Robert Altman

Robert Altman, the legendary and trail-blazing film director has died this 20th of November, 2006, in hospital in Los Angeles, at the age of 81.

Altman who, as the “Guardian Weekly” declared, had found in Elliott Gould “the De Niro to his Scorsese”, directed Gould in ‘M*A*S*H‘, ‘The Long Goodbye‘, ‘California Split‘, ‘Nashville‘ and ‘The Player‘.

Altman’s more recent films include ‘Gosford Park‘ and ‘A Prairie Home Companion‘.

Elliott Gould to appear in St. Urbains Horseman

Elliott will be in Montreal until October 26th to appear in the made for TV mini-series adaptation of Mordechai Richler classic novel, then will head back to Las Vegas to finish Oceans Thirteen, the third installment of Steven Soderbergh heist caper.
